How to Torrent Scan


Change your Theme and Layout


Reorder your engine list


Add and remove search engines

  1. Click the Wrench icon (top left screen)
  2. Your control panel will open
  3. Click the Configure Your Engine List button
  4. The engine customization panel will open
  5. Drag engines to and from your enabled list (on the left) to the available list (on the right)
  6. Click Save

Engines with a lock icon are private BitTorrent sites. You need to have an active account at the site, and you need to be logged in with your browser if you want to scan these sites.

Torrent Scan will remember which engines you have enabled and disabled! It will also save the list order of your enabled engines. (a browser cookie is created for this)


Show Search Engine Icons


Share a torrent scan

Enter your keywords
  1. Click the Link icon (top left screen, third icon)
  2. The link panel will open
  3. Click the url to highlight it
  4. Copy the link using ctrl+c or right click on the url and click Copy

You can alter the behavior of the link when accessed by changing the settings under the url.


Bookmark your settings

Enter your keywords
  1. Click the Link icon (top left screen, third icon)
  2. The link panel will open
  3. Hover over or click on the Bookmark button to find the method you want

You can choose which settings you are saving by changing the settings under the bookmark button.


Collapse the searcher

  1. Click the arrow button to collapse the search engine list
  2. Click the arrow again to expand the search engine list

Return to the start page after searching

Click the home button and the start page will be loaded


Reset all preferences

Call up your preferences panel using the wrench like button in the top left corner of your screen and click the Reset all button.
